The Ancient Mystic Ways of Typography

These books might seem a bit strange to some but to me they were a necessity. These were the first catalogs of fonts before desktop publishing was done on computers. I dug these up recently while going through my storage. Prestype was basically that, The pages were pretty large and everything was in layers literally. You had you background, your images, your type and then any branding needed. The type had to be rubbed onto a transparent sheet letter by letter in order to ensure proper spacing. This was a process that would take a lot of time and you truly had to be dedicated and focused in order to pull off a piece of perfection. Needless to say those times are waaaayyy behind us.

Aside from type there were all other kinds of dingbats and clip art as well as half tone patterns.
